I took a lot of selfies with Willow. My Facebook profile picture is still a portrait of me and Will, even though she departed this plain of existence 11 months ago.
Summer is seven months old this weekend. As predicted, our new little girl cannot fill the hole in my heart that is the absence of Willow The Best Dog There Was, but she is finding her own corner of my heart and making herself comfortable there.
I decided to do a selfie with Summer the other day. One fact is absolute about puppies: They don’t sit still when you want them to. This is my 19th attempt to take the picture, one of only three that has all of both our faces, and the only one where we are looking in the same direction.
It was such fun!
