There was a heavy feeling in the air not far from the Green Bay shore and a weird, pinkish sky as the sun set Monday evening. Something feels about to happen — I don’t think it’s a fearful something, rather, something that might be good.
As they say in the cliche, it’s quiet — almost TOO quiet. I have both a feeling of calm and a feeling that it might be wrong to be calm just about now.
I log into social media and want to dive into the fray, then catch myself: Why in the world would I want to dive into the fray? No one there is interested in changing their minds; the goal is to score points against the other side that plans to destroy, or is actively destroying, America, depending on which side you are on. Scoring points — taking sides — as if it’s a game.
And then, that eerie sunset.
This is, and I apologize, more of a place holder post than usual. I’m on the verge of forming a thought, or maybe I’m not, but in any case it’s not formed enough to pass along. It may or may not have anything to do with the pumpkin. Right this moment, I just don’t know.
