Facebook showed me a picture of Willow and baby Dejah from 12 years ago, and I missed Will all over again. Then I looked around this house that Carol Jean and I built, and my eyes filled with tears, and I missed her, too, all over again. Losing Willow was a gut punch, and losing Cj two years later put me down for the count. I was heartbroken and lonely but mostly numb.
Then I went to church, and then a year and a half later I met Mary there, and the healing started that continues to this day.
God lifted me in my grief and showed me joy has not vanished from the earth. I found oases in my desolation and a life to rebuild.
