Preface

There was a man who said, “Love the Lord Your God and Love Your Neighbor — those are the two most important things.” They hung him on a cross to die.

There was a man who sat at a spinning wheel and taught how to win a revolution without violence. Someone shot him.

There was a president who reached out to his enemies for understanding instead of sending armies to kill them. Someone shot him.

There was a preacher who had a dream that his children would be judged on their character, not the color of their face. Someone shot him.

There was a musician who sang at the top of his lungs, “Give peace a chance.” Someone shot him.

People want peace. People interact peacefully all day, every day. Everyone wants their children to grow up and live in peace. But it seems to be dangerous to say so.

Still, we have to keep saying it out loud until the psychopaths are overcome. War is a crime. People want to live in peace.

And shooting back is not the answer.
